I started woodworking in 1996. I have built a lot of furniture and cabinets. My venture into baby rattles started when I had the idea to make a coffee scoop. It was my second scoop that I thought,” If this had something in it, and was fully enclosed, it would be an attractive baby rattle”. Once the idea was planted, the design started to evolve into something unique, and easy to hold. We make four different types of rattles out of American hardwoods. Usually Cherry, Walnut, Maple, or Oak/White Oak. The noise makers inside are typically rice, bells, or bb’s.
